Basic programming of the radio code keypad
These instructions will help you with the basic programming of your ZAPF radio code keypad, including setting up a master PIN code and creating temporary PINs for guests or temporary access.
- Press the P button on the gate opener:
- Press and hold the P button on the gate opener for 4 seconds.
- The ‘Garage door open’ symbol appears.
- Press the P button again:
- Press the P button twice until the WiFi symbol lights up on the display.
- Enter the master PIN on the radio code keypad:
- Enter the 4-digit master PIN on the radio code keypad and confirm with the Enter button (bottom right).
- Set a new PIN code:
- Enter your desired 4-digit PIN code within 30 seconds.
- Confirm your entry with the Enter key.
- Complete programming on the door opener:
- Press the P button on the door opener once to complete programming.
- The LEDs on the radio code keypad will go out.
Create temporary PIN:
- Enter master PIN:
- Enter the 4-digit master PIN on the radio code keypad.
- Press the enter key three times:
- Press the enter key three times.
- Enter user PIN:
- Enter the previously programmed user PIN within 30 seconds and press the enter key.
- Set temporary PIN:
- Enter the desired 4-digit temporary PIN within 30 seconds and press the enter key.
- The temporary PIN remains active until it is used.
Notes:
- For optimal use of the temporary PIN function, the automatic closing function in the gate operator should be activated (only possible by qualified personnel with an MSA stick).
- A light barrier is required for automatic closing.
