Fixing the reversal error on the garage door / Error 28
These instructions will help you fix a reversal error on the garage door by manually checking the door, re-locking the drive, and resetting and reprogramming the drive's travel path.
- Checking the door movement:
- Pull the red emergency release cord.
- Open and close the door manually to check that it runs smoothly and is not sluggish.
- Relock the drive:
- Pull the green button to relock the drive.
- Open the door slightly to allow it to lock into its previous position.
- Reset the travel path:
- If the drive presses too hard against the gate, the travel path must be completely reset.
- Delete the current travel path and re-learn it.
- Error code and programming:
- Error code 28 appears on the display, indicating that the drive is reversing.
- Press the P button for 10 seconds to open the menu with 10 programmes.
- Select the first programme with the P button.
- Press the plus button three times to get to the number 8.
- Confirm with the P button to enter the menu.
- Deleting and reprogramming the travel path:
- Select programme 2 and confirm with the P button.
- The drive flashes once to indicate that the path has been deleted.
- Press the P button for 4 seconds to open programme 4.
- Open the gate with the plus button until you reach the stop point.
- Ensure that there is 1 cm of space at the front and confirm with the P button.
- Close the gate with the minus button, making sure that the belt remains taut.
- Correct with the plus button if necessary and confirm again with the P button.
- Skip the hand-held transmitter programming with the P button.
- Open the door with the plus button and close it with the minus button.
- Repeat this process to save the path.
