In such cases, your garage offers a practical alternative: the emergency release. Every garage has either a separate door or an emergency release that you can operate with a key. This allows you to access your garage and your car at any time, even if the remote control is not working. This option is a safe and reliable solution for dealing with such emergencies.

Steps for emergency opening:

  1. Use the key: In the event of a power failure, use the key provided. Turning the key activates the emergency release.
  2. Pull the emergency release cord: After turning the key, you will be holding a cord that is part of the emergency release mechanism. Pulling this cord firmly will unlock the top slat of the garage door slightly.
  3. Open the door manually: After removing the key, the door can be opened manually.

Restoring normal function:

After gaining access to the garage, reconnect the drive to the drive chain to restore normal function of the garage door.

  1. Adjust the green button: First, adjust the green button so that it is slightly slanted. This allows the drive chain to be reconnected.
  2. Use the remote control: The second step is to use the remote control. Pressing the remote control initiates the process whereby the motor belt catches up with the carriage and automatically locks into place.

These steps ensure that you can still access the garage in the event of a power failure and that the garage door will function normally again afterwards.
